Putting our heads together for Rocky!

The Australian Brangus Cattle Association's Sale at the Gracemere Saleyards is just ten days away now. We have put together a small team of young bulls to represent us - let's share some background and introduce them!
.
We are taking a small selection of red and black bulls this year, representing two outstanding sires: Bimbadeen Magnum and Doonside Paleface.

Magnum (pictured further down the page) has drawn international interest from seedstock producers, while Paleface continues to work hard here at Upson Downs in our red herd. Here is a recent photo of this active, balanced bull:

Doonside Paleface is sire to two of our top-priced bulls, Bimbadeen Nardoo ($14000, 2006 ABCA Rocky Sale) and Bimbadeen Pride ($16000, 2007 ABCA Rocky Sale).

We have three more chips off the old block, ready for Rocky:

LOT 168

Bimbadeen Revel

LOT 169

Bimbadeen Ritz

LOT 170

Bimbadeen Regal

We are also offering two Bimbadeen black bulls, both sired by our terrific homebred Genestar bull, Bimbadeen Magnum.

His sons for sale:

LOT 241

Bimbadeen Regiment

LOT 242

Bimbadeen Respect

...
We believe that the depth of breeding Bimbadeen is known for, along with the assurance of fertility and strength of true Brangus characteristics, ensure our bulls offer that 'something extra' for buyers. Our return buyers will vouch for the long-serving nature of Bimbadeen bulls and the consistant quality of their offspring.

Please check out the SALES PAGE for more info and breeding on each bull.

We hope to see you in Rocky on October 14. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you'd like more info on any of these sires of the future.

Cheers

Purchases and Sales

Hello - we have arrived back from Rocky having attended both the Doonside and Duarran Brangus sales. We would like to congratulate the Geddes and Saunders family on the wonderful day at Doonside (and the entertainment with Bill's agility keeping him out of trouble!) and Ian and Anne Galloway on the presentation and selection of stock at Paradise Lagoons. Both sales were well run and a credit to their studmasters (and stockmen and women!).
.
We were delighted to purchase two bulls at the Doonside sale - a lovely red bull and a stylish black bull to add to our stud paddocks. Unusually, Amanda forgot to take her camera to the yards to get some images of the new bulls, but we will no doubt get a couple of snaps on their arrival at Upson Downs.
.
Meanwhile we are busily preparing for the upcoming Rocky Brangus sale which we are very much looking forward to. We have five young bulls selected for this sale and will upload images and information on them over the next few days.
.
We hope the season is treating you well - Mother Nature saw fit to allocate a wonderful 35mm of rain to us while we were away in Rocky. Nice to have the dust settled for a little while!

See you back here soon for some sale details...
.

Cheers!

Raincoats in Roma... on to Monto!

Well the weather sure didn't turn on the welcome for us for the Roma Brangus Sale last week! It was cold and wet for bulls and owners alike... thankfully we had remembered to pack the rubber boots and drizabones!!

While buyer numbers appeared down, Bimbadeen sent bulls off to two new buyers with some post-sale interest also shown.

We congratulate LG & LE Jukes and Son of Morven, and DR Geddes of Springsure on their purchases of Bimbadeen stock. We look forward to hearing how their investment in our genetics go in their herds.

Don't forget we have the local Monto All Breeds Sale coming up this weekend - I will post a full preview tomorrow.

Cheers

Amanda (on behalf of the Bimbadeen Team).
