Bull Sale Roundup!

Well the dust is settling after a hectic few weeks of bull sales around Central Queensland. We attended as both buyers and sellers and caught up with quite a few Brangus and commercial breeders at Doonside, Duarran and the ABCA Rocky Brangus Sale.

While the Rocky Brangus Sale didn't reach (previous) high prices for us, we were pleased to send our red and black bulls to some great new homes. The Bimbadeen team would especially like to thank the team from Narayen for taking home four bulls (1 red and 3 blacks) - we look forward to seeing their progress in the AA College herds in the years to come.

...

We also brought home two new bulls from Doonside - a black two-year-old and red 30 month old - both with lots of style. They are currently settling in and we look forward to getting them out to their selected cows and to seeing their calves on the ground in 2009.

It was also great to see such interest and action amongst Brangus breeders at the AGM in Rocky. Congrats to the new Association office bearers, and to Ian Galloway (Duarran Brangus) who was selected to head the World Brangus Congress committee. This massive event is just over 3 years away (2012) and there is a whole lot to achieve between now and then - luckily we seem to have the energy amongst the members of the ABCA to get it done.

I will post up the relevent contacts and websites as soon they are tracked down (or created!).

Cheers

Amanda
